Ever since the teachers’ unions demanded pay for not working amid the pandemic, and since the CRT controversy was kicked up, schools have been rightfully seen as the political ground zero of America’s present-day culture wars.
Now, with mask and injection mandates for schools, workplaces, and dioceses, and with the cultural poisoning of America’s youth accelerating, that fight is more urgent than ever.
A Jesuit high school is facing backlash from hundreds of parents after clamping down with what are being described as “discriminatory” and “coercive” policies in an effort to pressure students to get vaccinated.
Brophy College Preparatory, an all-boys Jesuit high school in Phoenix, Arizona, has mandated that its students either receive the COVID-19 shot or be subjected to testing twice weekly and special quarantine requirements, while refraining from school overnight retreats. The school did not announce its new policy until after tuition was withdrawn for the new school year.
Steven Smith, director of Catholics for Preservation of Life, calls the measures “coercion and strong-arm tactics.” He noted to LifeSiteNews that boys who don’t receive the jab are “essentially ban[ned]” from “extra-curricular activities that give vitality and meaning to their high school experience.”
A new report from a watchdog organization alleges school officials in an Illinois district imprisoned children to closets because they were not wearing masks during class.
The report comes from the Edgar County Watchdogs blog site, where a posting first charged the officials in the Teutopolis School District “without so much as even contacting the parents,” put the five students in “separate confined rooms for several hours.”
The reason was that the students “were trying to breath freely without a mask on their face,” the report said.
Oak Park and River Forest High School (OPRF) has 17 confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of September 9, with 14 cases coming from individuals who have been fully jabbed.
The public school, located just outside the city of Chicago, lists on its COVID dashboard 79% of students as fully jabbed and 88% of teachers and staff fully inoculated. At least 11 cases are students and four are employees, but the breakdown of vaccinated individuals is not provided.
Illinois Democrat Gov. JB Pritzker has mandated all school staff receive the jab as a condition of employment. College students must also get jabbed.
While K-12 students are not required to get vaccinated in the Land of Lincoln, the high school has encouraged its enrollees to get jabbed.
A Texas school district wants to get its eligible students to take the COVID-19 vaccines so badly that it is offering them a small cash prize in exchange for taking the shot.
The Dallas Independent School District announced on Monday a new incentive program for students old enough to get the shot. Previously jabbed students can also get paid a $50 gift card if they upload their proof of vaccination by November 15.
The district has a total of 145,000 students in K-12 across its 230 schools, but not all students are eligible – only those aged twelve and older. Additionally, its 22,000 staff members are eligible for a $500 incentive if they get jabbed by November 15.
It also hasn’t stopped Creighton Catholic College, no less, from forcing their students to fight for their bodily integrity. One child is in need of many prayers; she’s a 16 year-old girl who went around her parents to get the vaccine. Now she has a neurological disease and “just wants her life back.” From LifeSite News:
Sarah Green was a healthy 16-year-old — until she developed neurological problems after getting Pfizer’s COVID vaccine. But doctors said her new tremors, tics and debilitating migraines couldn’t possibly be caused by the vaccine.
In an exclusive interview with The Defender, Sarah and her mother, Marie Green, said they feel helpless because nobody will acknowledge Sarah’s vaccine injury and “nobody can help them.”
Green said Sarah got the vaccine on her own because in North Carolina, she could get the vaccine without parental consent.
A man in West Virginia has spoken out to similar effect, with people’s livelihoods being destroyed by the vaccine mandate:
A full-time student from Fairmont State University talked about his horrible adverse reaction at the meeting against West Virginia University Hospital’s mandatory vaccine mandate. He took the vaccine shot the very first week after it came out. The reaction has now long time side effects to him that he is now diagnosed with chronic headaches and decrease cognitive function.
West Virginia University Health System announced last August 23rd that it will require all of its clinical and non-clinical staff to be fully vaccinated with both doses of the COVID-19 two-dose series by the end of October.
The employees that are not vaccinated or didn’t obtain an approved exemption on the 14th day from the determined COVID vaccination deadline will be “VOLUNTARILY TERMINATED”. Surprisingly, WVHA had intentionally removed the phrase “voluntarily terminated” from their website. Good thing employees have screenshots and printed copies of it.
All of this, amid news that nearly half of Covid hospitalizations this year have been “mild or asymptomatic cases.”
Hysteria kills. While we destroy the lives of families across the country over an experimental injection, what are other countries doing?
If they’re Australian “Catholic” hospitals, they’re probably mandating injections. If they’re prelates in Brazil, they’re astroturfing “Covid orphans” as another “human rights” crusade for “justice” to bully the middle class with. If they’re Russia or China, by contrast, they’re either trying to hold back the scourge (pandemic?) of pornography, laziness, degenerate music, and transsexualism among their youth.
When China is more conservative than you, you really need prayers.
Saint Patrick, ora pro nobis!
